Just got my Mono in and it was assembled great out of the box. I work for a Giant dealer and was very impressed at the assembly quality from a smaller company. Living in Michigan's U.P the Mono fits right in as an adventure bike. The build is very sensible, as someone who swaps a ton of parts when they first get a bike, I was really stumped when I went through the parts list and couldn't think of anything. I was most impressed with the bearing quality, every single bearing feels great especially when compared with bikes in this price range. I have not been this enthusiastic about a brand in a long time, I've recommended the Dame to a couple friends they've had nothing but good things to report back. I'm looking forward to the adventures I'll have with this bike and the countless commutes. The 40t chain ring I feel is out of place on this bike. I swapped a 34t chain ring on and it feels much better suited. I think a 34 or 36 would be perfect as a stock size, the 40t on the Dame is perfect. I'm 5,11 and swapped to an 80mm stem and that worked great.
I love the Mono! It arrived in perfect shape and assembly was easy. Had to make minimal adjustments and I was out riding. The bottle cage bosses were on way too tight and some were stripped. Had to be removed with pliers. But I wanted to put some other bolts on anyway. I've had it about a week and have been about 200 miles so far. I bought the Dame on the same order and I absolutely love that bike. I'm usually on a road bike or a gravel bike going fast but I was really wanting a big tire bike for a little more comfort and the ability to explore more. The mono is perfect for a quick fun ride and for big miles too. I feel like I can go anywhere I want on it. Paint quality is very appreciated. Thank you for making these bikes. I'm very happy with my purchases and if you make another bike I will buy that one too.
After years of back issues and uncomfortable rides I was hesitant to purchase a bike online with an unfamiliar geometry.
After some small adjustments this bike feels like it was made for me! Could not be more happy with this bike.
I'm about 6'2" with a 32" inseam and the L was perfect.
