Welcome to the family

Born in Portland, OR, Primos Cycles was founded by two bike enthusiasts who share a deep love for all things cycling.

Pascual

A key player in South America’s fixed gear revolution for over a decade. If you’re in Chile and spot a fixed gear zipping through traffic, there’s a good chance Pascual had a hand in that.

Carlos

An aviation engineer by trade and a regular at hardcore cycling races in the Oregon hills. Carlos brings the precision of plane-building to crafting bikes that are both affordable and built to last.

We started Primos out of frustration: tired of overpriced, overcomplicated bikes flooding the market, and low-cost bikes that broke down or needed repairs that cost more than the bike itself.

High prices, limited options, and a lack of practical design left us demoralized. The bike industry seemed obsessed with racing and performance, but let’s face it, most of us aren’t trying to win the Tour de France. We just want to hop on a bike and enjoy the ride.

Our bikes aren’t about breaking speed records, they’re about versatility and fun.

Whether you're on gravel or pavement, our bikes are built to handle it all. Most traditional bikes are made for niche uses, but that’s not how most people ride.

Inspired by Portland’s vibrant bike culture and our desire to make cycling more accessible, we dove into research, workshops, and conversations with riders to understand what they truly need.

We make things that work better and last longer. Our products solve real problems with clean design and honest materials.

We launched Primos hoping our bikes would connect with real riders, and they have.

Across the country, people are discovering us through YouTube, Instagram, and local shops, and telling us they found exactly what they were looking for: bikes that are complete, fun, versatile, and fairly priced.

We’ve heard from folks trying drop bars for the first time, or getting back on a bike after decades.

IT’S BEEN INCREDIBLY MOTIVATING TO SEE HOW PEOPLE ARE CONNECTING WITH OUR MESSAGE AND WANT TO BE PART OF THE COMMUNITY WE'RE BUILDING.

Our name, Primos, means cousins in Spanish, and that’s how we see our riders: as part of the family. We’re here to craft the finest all-road bikes, infused with the spirit and flair of Portland, South America, and all the communities who have made riding a part of their life.

And this is just the beginning. We're growing, listening, and building more bikes that reflect what real riders want. Primos Cycles isn’t just about bikes; it’s about passion, innovation, and redefining the ride. Biking is a community, and we want to make sure you are part of it.

¡Bienvenidos a la familia!
